China Dispatches Nine Satellites into Space
The launch vehicle ignited at 12:03 p.m. local time (0403 GMT) from the Dongfeng commercial space innovation pilot zone adjacent to the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China, achieving successful orbital insertion for all payloads.
Among the spacecraft was a United Arab Emirates satellite engineered to track soil conditions, climate patterns, and environmental changes.
The mission deployed China's inaugural power industry remote-sensing satellite, designated Jixing High-Resolution 07D01, enabling precision monitoring of electrical infrastructure integrity—including transmission lines and tower structures—according to media.
The payload additionally carried two remote-sensing satellites dedicated to water resource surveillance, urban management operations, and supporting digital transformation initiatives in a district of Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province in eastern China, the agency reported.
Wednesday's operation followed China's Tuesday launch of the Shiyan-22 communication technology test satellite, deployed aboard a Long March-3B carrier rocket from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan province.
